役立つEメールの書き方

 最近はEメールでの連絡がとても多くなりました。
 仕事の上でも個人的なやりとりでも。

 ここではビジネス上でも役立つEメールの書き方と、
 表現や文例についてまとめてみました。

The opening(冒頭)

 Dear Sir or Madam,
      (use if you don't know who you are writing to.)
 Dear Mr., Mrs., Ms. + last name
       (Use Ms for women unless asked to use Mrs. or Miss.)
 Dear Robert,
      (use if person is a close business contact or friend)

Opening Sentence(書き出しの文)

 Thank you for your e-mail.
 Thank you for your reply.
 I hope business is going well with you.

 I'm glad to receive such a quick reply from you.
 It's good to hear from you, and I'm sorry I've not written to you earlier.

The Reason for Writing(メールの動機)

 I am writing about (your request for)…
 I have a question about…
 I would like to confirm the following information.

Requesting Information(通知、案内など)

 Could you please send me the following document(s)
 Could you please tell me when the pack'age will arrive?
 Could you please give me his telephone number?

Attaching Documents(添付資料)

 I have attached the delivery schedule
 Please find attached the following documents;

Closing sentence and reference to future contact

 (結びの文、次の連絡)

 I look forward to your reply.
 If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
 Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to hearing from you

   ○ Could you let me know when you will visit japan?
   ○ Please tell me when you will visit Japan.

 ・ご協力感謝します。
   メール Thank you for your cooperation.
   レター I would very much appreciate your cooperation.

 ・このイベントに関してもっと詳しい資料を送ってください。
   メール Please send us more details about this function.
   レター I wonder if you could kindly send us more detailed information
       regarding this function.

 ・申し訳有りませんが、当社ではこの商品ラインは取り扱っておりません。
   メール I'm sorry, but we don't deal in that line of goods now.
   レター I regret to inform you that we do not deal in that line of
       goods any longer.

 ・商品を50個注文します。
   メール We want to order 50 pcs. of the product.(pes.=pieces)
   レター We are happy to place an order for 50 (fifty) pieces of the
       product.

 ・ご迷惑をおかけして申し訳有りません。
   メール I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
   レター I apologize for any inconvenience we have caused.
